PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

American Value
“What does being an American mean to you?”
“What are your core values?”

Opening this year’s Catskill Festival of New Theatre is a theatrical exploration of these questions — a community performance project directed by Michael Rohd of Sojourn Theatre, with NACL, guest stilt artists from California’s Carpetbag Brigade, and members of NACL’s politically and socially diverse community. The performance will combine documented interviews from around the county with stilt walking, song, chorus, and story-telling.

A Strike Anywhere collaboration with Sojourn Theatre (Portland, OR), NACL Theatre (Highland Lake, NY), Carpetbag Brigade (Oakland, CA), and the local Sullivan County Community.
